Chambers County Recent Arrests is a private reference website, not a government office. No one here can confirm whether a person is in custody, arrange a release, post a bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Those requests belong with the agency that created the record, so please use the phone numbers and links below to reach that office directly.

Chambers County courts site

  • Custody or booking questions: call the detention facility at (334) 864-4336. The county's detention page also links to a name-search inmate roster at chamberscountyjail.org, a separately operated site.
  • Records and warrants: contact the sheriff's office. Alabama's open records law, Alabama Code 36-12-40, gives citizens the right to inspect public records held by the county.
  • Court dockets, case dates, and fines: contact the Circuit Clerk. The courts site routes record searches through Alabama Just One Look, which charges its own fees.
  • City incident reports: reach the police department that handled the incident. Valley Police Department, 20 Fob James Drive, Valley, (334) 756-5200; Lanett Police Department, 401 North Lanier Avenue, Lanett, (334) 644-2146; LaFayette Police Department, 50 Alabama Avenue West, LaFayette, (334) 864-2211. Call 911 for any emergency.
  • Sentenced state prisoners: search the ADOC inmate search, since the county jail no longer holds the person.
  • Federal or immigration detainees: try the federal BOP locator or the ICE detainee locator.
  • Custody and release alerts: register with Alabama VNS at victims.alabama.gov, email Victims@AlabamaAG.gov, or call 1-800-626-7676. VINELink offers a similar free notification service, and our VINELink Check page explains the steps.
  • Who was just arrested: start with 24 Hour Arrests and the Arrest Log page, or read the county search guide for rosters, warrants, booking photos, and records requests from start to finish.

Office hours shift and phone numbers change, so confirm both before you drive to LaFayette. A two-minute call can spare you a wasted trip.
